Ivo Hugh, named after the Skarloey Railway's former Chief Mechanical Engineer, Mr. Ivo Hugh, is a narrow-gauge tank engine.

Ivo Hugh was built by the workmen of Crovan's Gate Works for the Skarloey Railway to help out with the additional traffic that had come to the line over the years. He was named after the Chief Engineer of the Maintenance Crew, Mr. Hugh, who thought it a great honour to have an engine named after him.

Persona Edit

Not much is known about Ivo Hugh, as he never even spoke in the last book, thus far, to feature the Skarloey Railway, but he was very quiet and shy at his unvieling party. The Wooden Railway line have portrayed him as a really useful engine, who enjoys pulling Zoo Trucks up and down the line.

Ivo Hugh is based on the Talyllyn Railway's Tom Rolt.

  • In the Railway Series, Ivo Hugh's roof is black. However, on the his Wooden Railway model his roof is red.
